The world is good

The world is good, at least for me.
I finished my Medical coding and Billing course in October.

I take my certification on Saturday.

And have job interview on Monday.
The world is good. But extra prayers would never hurt.

We have adopted a little female calico kitten. Pictures to follow soon.

Thanks friends.

May all of you have continued blessings this Holiday Season.

Thanksgiving is over?

We spend perhaps a week with all the planning getting ready for the holiday that gets forgotten inthe hustle of preparing food and the bustle of black Friday.

We forget that if it weren’t for some pilgrams that came across the sea to escape perscution of religion, and the help of a people that were taken advantage of.

There would be no thanksgiving, so let your kids and grandchildren know
The story on why our country is the best country in the world.

Lets show some love for it instead of putting her down. We are all Americans and we are all responable for her.

Happy Thanksgiving but more imporantly
God Bless America

New life into old characters and stories.

Is it possible to take a story your not happy with and breath new life into them?

I believe there is. What I have found is that it may not be so much the story as not knowing your characters .

Let’s say you have a character that you can’t get out of your mind. The story seems wrong for the character. You can’t make them fit.

Then you must ask yourself is it the story or is it a lackluster characters. Does the woman capture your heart. Is she the person you thought of when the story unfolded. Is she the brave soul that you think she is or do you find that she has become a manipulative, calculating scarlette( direct referrence to Gone with the Wind).  Or is she the sweet soul you want her to be. Did you plan the actions your character is taking or has she taken a life that she made for herself not one you planned for her.

You must know your characters inside and out. Why does the woman hate red roses, did she always love dance or is it something that she just tolerates to please someone.

Did your hero mean to leave the girl of his dreams, or was he forced to leave by her family?  How did the childhood accident shape him into the unhappy.mogal he is now?

The more quirks that are known of your characters details will let your story shine through .

No one can begin to feel….

This weekend things happened that I can not begin to say 1.) I understand and 2.) want to understand. The hurt that the families are feeling from the explosion on the south side of Indianapolis is beyond devastating. A beloved teacher from a local elementary school was killed in it along with her husband and the saddest part of it is no one knows for sure why the explosion that leveled two house and did maybe millions of dollars in damages even happened. 29 -35 homes are totally destroyed, damaged beyond repair, or will have to have major renovations. These people are without homes, their pets, their simple life necessities. The community is pulling together and starting to see about clean up.

The same night that the devastation happened a childhood’s friend found out that his son committed suicide. I have tried to get my head around the families loss. I can’t begin to know what they are going through. I wouldn’t even begin to try to say to these people that I do. The loss of a brother, son, father, husband, nephew would only be unimaginable in my mind. How can some one be so close to you and not know what they were feeling so they could be helped. I wish I could say I understand I just don’t. It is a horrible thing to be hurting so bad you can’t explain it to others.

So Kim, Ralph, Sheena, Angie, I would include his wife and child’s name but I don’t know what they are. I pray for each of you. I hope that you find the answers you need. May God Be with each and every one of you.

I offer an apology for not understanding. But please know that I am with you in thoughts and prayers.

So there you have it friends and faithful readers pick your favorite and write a story on my life.

A good story that needs sharing.

A chaplain, who happened to be assigned
to the Pentagon, told of an
incident that happened right after Flight
77 hit the Pentagon on 9/11.
A daycare facility inside the Pentagon
had many children, including
infants who were in heavy cribs. The
daycare supervisor, looking at all
the children they needed to evacuate,
was in a panic over what they
could do. There were many children,
mostly toddlers, as well as the
infants that would need to be taken out
with the cribs.

There was no time to try to bundle them
into carriers and strollers.
Just then a young Marine came running
into the center and asked what
they needed. After hearing what the
center director was trying to do,
he ran back out into the hallway and
disappeared. The director thought,
“Well, here we are, on our own.”

About 2 minutes later, that Marine
returned with 40 other Marines in
tow. Each of them grabbed a crib with a
child, and the rest started
gathering up toddlers. The director and
her staff then helped them take
all the children out of the center and
down toward the park near the
Potomac and the Pentagon.

Once they got about 3/4 of a mile outside
the building, the Marines
stopped in the park, and then did a
fabulous thing- they formed a
circle with the cribs, which were quite
sturdy and heavy, like the
covered wagons in the Old West. Inside
this circle of cribs, they put
the toddlers, to keep them from
wandering off.

Outside this circle were the 40 Marines,
forming a perimeter around the
children and waiting for instructions.
There they remained until the
parents could be notified and come get
their children.The chaplain then
said, “I don’t think any of us saw nor
heard of this on any of the news
stories of the day. It was an incredible
story of our men there.” There
wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The thought
of those Marines and what
they did and how fast they reacted; could
we expect any less from them?
It was one of the most touching stories
from the Pentagon.

Remember Ronald Reagan’s great
compliment: “Most of us wonder if our
lives make
any difference. Marines don’t have that

God Bless the USA , our troops, and you.

It’s the Military, not the politicians that
ensures our right to
life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
It’s the Military who
salutes the flag, who serves beneath the
flag, and whose coffin is
draped by the flag.

If you care to offer the smallest token of
recognition and appreciation
for the military, please pass this on and
pray for our men and women,
who have served and are currently
serving our country, and pray for
those who have given the ultimate
sacrifice for freedom.

People will forget what you did,
But people will never forget how you made them feel”
